The response stage is triggered by the identification of one or more cases of COVID-19 within or linked to the workplace/setting. The goal is to slow the virus spreading and protect people at greater risk of severe illness from COVID-19.
All personnel should leave the premises and travel directly to their place of isolation. Team members should not attend Honestally HQ and should continue to work remotely until a 'Stand Down' notification is received.
Prior to leaving the contaminated premises staff must:
Wash and sanitise hands
Put on a surgical mask ensuring it covers your nose, mouth and chin
Put on surgical gloves
Take any required PPE supplies from the company stockpile
Be on alert for any symptoms and ensure you get tested if symptoms present or if a government direction is issued.
The Managing Director should notify the public health hotline who will provide further advice and instructions:
1800 671 738
IMPORTANT: depending on the circumstances, if the confirmed case is an employee, we may also be required by law to notify WorkSafe Tasmania of the case.
Offsite visits must be ceased until a 'Stand Down' notification is received. Each team member is responsible for managing their own appointment books and converting to Google Meet or deferring meetings as required.
All personnel must comply with the Tasmanian Government Testing, Quarantine and Isolation plan.
The Managing Director will be responsible for liaising with the confirmed case and reviewing Toggl and Google Calendar records to ensure all movements are traced and the Department of Health and impacted clients are notified of a possible exposure.
Do not attempt to clean the premises yourself. Honestally will liaise with WOTSO and arrange professional cleaners.
Honestally has a pre-organised COVID Cleaning arrangement with:

Cleaning Guidance
COVID-19 is spread through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. A person can get COVID-19 by breathing in these droplets or, less commonly, by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose or eyes.
Following a confirmed case of COVID-19, thorough cleaning and disinfection of contaminated areas is needed as per our COVID-19 Safety Plan, to remove the virus from surfaces.
There is no automatic need to close the entire facility/setting while cleaning and disinfection is underway, particularly if the confirmed case only visited parts of the facility/setting.
Suspension of normal operations will depend on factors such as the size of the facility, nature of the work, number of people and potential areas of contamination.
Public Health and WorkSafe Tasmania will provide advice about cleaning and disinfection following a confirmed case of COVID-19.
Cleaning and disinfection for non-health care settings follows the same principles as routine cleaning and disinfection, except:
cleaning staff should wear disposable gloves, a long-sleeved gown and a surgical mask plus eye protection or a face shield while cleaning and disinfecting
cleaners should be trained in putting on and removing personal protective equipment (PPE)
areas may need to be prepared to ensure proper cleaning and disinfection (eg removing personal effects)
soft or porous surfaces may need attention (eg steam-cleaning or laundering of fabrics)
For instructions for cleaning and disinfection generally, refer to Safe Work Australia and the Australian Government Department of Health
